Tips for Getting Free Laptops With Mobile Broadband

103 13
If you are looking to get a laptop computer as well as the internet at the same time then you are in luck - you might just be able get your hands on a free laptop! Many companies that offer 3G data services have packages that include a free laptop.
This will require you to sign a contract with the respective provider, which is usually 12 or 24 months.
You may have noticed that the internet includes many free laptop offerings.
You probably also know that many of these offers are scams, and the closest we are going to get to a free laptop is receiving one when signing a contract.
Such contracts are offered by companies such as AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
The best way to ensure you are receiving a good deal is to compare different packages between various providers.
The easiest way to do this would be to visit the websites of providers in your area and compare their plans and prices.
If you are uncomfortable seeking price information over the internet then you can simply phone the customer care line of the provider you are interested in, and enquire about their plans.
Another tip is to check the coverage map (also found online) in order to ensure there is reception in your area.
The last thing you would want is a laptop with extremely slow internet.
Once you have decided on a package, you should do some investigation on the hardware of the laptop.
In these ever-changing times it would not be in your best interest to be provided with a laptop which is out of date.
If you are not very computer savvy, you could try asking a friend with some experience in technology trends to identify if the deal is worth going for.
This can be done by comparing the hardware specifications of the laptop with what is currently being sold at a local computer store near you.
Remember, companies are always out there to make money, so it is always up to you to do your homework before blindly forking out money.
Other considerations include contracts that do not include a free laptop, but rather a portable internet browsing device such as a PDA, Smartphone or Tablet PC.
These devices, however, do not provide the ease-of-use and comfort that laptop computers do - especially when considering the difference in screen size.
Some fixed line providers also offer free laptop deals when taking out various contracts with them.
The only problem with one of these deals is the fact that you can't take the internet with you when you leave your premises.
