How to Use a Ceramic Knife
- 1). Place a wood or plastic cutting board on your kitchen counter. Place the food you will be cutting on the cutting board. For best results, use your ceramic knife to cut vegetables, fruits and boneless meats.
- 2). Gently press down on the knife in a straight, downward motion. Do not flex the knife or try to pry the food apart. The knife blade should be sharp enough that it slides right through the food--almost like slicing through butter.
- 3). Use a rag dampened with warm water and dish soap to clean the knife once you're done with it. It is important to wash ceramic knives by hand, because the dishwasher can damage or chip the blade. The nonstick surface of the knife makes for a very easy clean up.
