Different Styles Of Turrets For Window Blinds

When choosing to buy window blinds, every aspect of the blinds is under your control, and there are dozens of different options along the road to the perfect set of blinds.
Whether you are looking for functional blinds that give you privacy and regulate the amount of light in the room, or you are looking to add to the overall decoration of the room with your blinds, there are still many things to consider.
Something that many people are unsure about is what to do with the bottom of their blinds, especially when they buy roller blinds.
If left completely undecorated, the bottom of the blinds can look boring and too clinical, whilst if too heavily decorated, the blinds can look out of place.
A turret on a window blind is essentially a way of decorating the bottom of the blind with a pole, using a particular design to attach the pole to the blind.
The blinds are often attached to the pole using a turret style, hence the name, where fabric is wrapped around the poll in an alternating manner, which is stylish and practical.
The majority of turrets will follow the same sort of style, but there are often subtle differences, primarily in the way the pole is attached, the style of the turrets, and the size of the turrets.
Some window blinds will have a traditional turret finish, but each turret will be very short, ensuring that the pole is very near to the bottom of the blind and that the turret effect is fairly subtle, while others will choose for longer turrets and a more decorative style.
The style of turrets you choose will depend on the overall decoration of the room in which you are installing the window blinds.
For example, if you are looking for a modern style, choose wider, shorter turrets that give a distinctive, but not overly decorative, effect to your window blinds.
Some turret styles allow for more space between each turret, which can be very attractive if used effectively, but if this effect is overblown the window blind will look strange when half-open, because of the way the light will come through the turrets.
The different styles of turrets available to you will depend on the manufacturer of the blinds and the overall style of blinds that you have chosen, but it's worth considering your options and choosing one which appeals to you and will work with the overall design of your home.
