How to Wet Sand Enamel Paint
- 1). Wrap a sheet of wet sandpaper around a sanding block and fill a bucket with tap water. Dip the sanding block in the bucket to wet the paper.
- 2). Sand the enamel surface. Use short, light strokes to avoid damaging underlying surface. As you sand sprinkle water onto the surface and continually dip the sandpaper into the bucket.
- 3). Remove the wet sandpaper from the block and work by hand for rounded surfaces.
- 4). Inspect the surface. If it is smooth to the touch, wash the area thoroughly with clean water.
- 5). Repeat the above process if necessary.
- 6). Buff the surface with an electric buffer on a low speed. Use liquid buffing compound for best results.
