EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique - How to Get the Most Out of Your Tapping

103 37
Here are three simple ways to supercharge your EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques.
EFT, or Tapping, is a mind body process that's becoming more and more popular.
Why? Several reasons.
First, it's effective to help you change your mood from bad to better.
Second, it works quickly - as in minutes.
Third, you can do the process yourself.
Fourth, it's easy and quick to learn.
And fifth, you can use the process to go much deeper, to actually transform your life.
No wonder EFT - also simply called Tapping - has become so popular! Let's take a look at three things you can do to get the most out of your personal EFT tapping session.
Number one is to really let yourself feel the emotions of the uncomfortable state you're in.
For EFT to work, you must experience the feelings.
Number two is to do plenty of venting while tapping.
If you skip or whiz through this step, you're not likely to get very positive results.
And Number three, after you've cleared the negative thoughts and emotions, is to ask yourself what you would like to think and feel instead - then tap that in.
Let's look at those three things in more detail.
#1: Really Feel the Emotions When you feel bad, you just want to feel better, right? That's true for most of us.
We feel unpleasant emotions and want to use EFT to help us feel better.
It's only natural.
But for tapping on the meridian points to work, to transform your emotion, you must be IN the disturbing emotion when you begin tapping.
If you avoid feeling it, repress it or push it away, the tapping won't have any affect on it.
So FEEL what you're feeling when you tap.
That allows it to change.
#2: Vent and Vent Some More Number two ties in well with #1.
In addition to feeling your emotions, you need to give them voice while tapping.
So when you first start tapping for an issue, let yourself complain, while, vent, dump - just let it all out.
It helps to be willing to get childish and petty! Go to extremes with your venting by letting the most immature and petty thoughts and feelings have their voice.
When you do this while tapping the stress-relief points, it clears the roots of those emotions and thoughts and allows you to move to a place of peace, wisdom and clarity.
So let yourself vent.
#3: What Would I Like to Think and Feel Now? The third step, to really get the most out of your tapping, is to move into the positive, to tap in your positive desire or intention.
Begin by asking yourself, when you've gotten to a place of feeling better about your issue, what would I like to feel now? You may realize you'd like to feel peace, compassion, creativity, confidence - your response will relate to the issue you're resolving.
Then ask yourself what you'd like to think.
You may notice you'd like to think you have the resources to handle the situation, or that you are a plenty good enough human being, or that you can choose to be at peace, regardless of what other people do.
Choose something empowering to tap in, as this is a great opportunity.
