OBD II

• The Northstar is equipped with a government mandated OBD II regulatory system that serves as a watchdog control to detect emission system malfunctions. The all-inclusive self-diagnostic system checks all vehicle components affecting emission output. "Limp Home"

• The Northstar special "limp home" mode permits the engine to run 50 miles at 50 mph without engine coolant. Fuel is delivered to four running cylinders, with the other four not firing, but pumping air to cool the engine.
