    Project 1

    • 1). Wash a large, smooth rock with warm water and two or three drops of liquid soap applied to a scrub brush. Rinse thoroughly, and pat away excess water with a towel. Allow to dry for several hours or overnight.

    • 2). Paint the entire rock with acrylic paint using a paintbrush. Allow the paint to dry to the touch. Paint a second coat, and allow it to dry several hours or overnight.

    • 3). Apply a layer of glitter glue to the rock with a paintbrush. Allow the glitter glue to dry overnight. Write a message of your choosing, such as "You Rock!," on the rock with squeezable gold glitter glue, and allow it to dry overnight.

    • 4). Outline the message with a black marker and spray the entire rock with acrylic sealer. Allow to dry for the time recommend on the product's instructions before using.

    Project 2

    • 1). Clean the seashells with warm water and a scrub brush. Add one or two drops of liquid soap to the brush if needed.

    • 2). Pour one cup of cold water into a container, and sift the plaster of Paris through your fingers until it stands above the water in peaks.

    • 3). Stir the plaster of Paris into the water with a spoon until it reaches paste-like consistency. Pour the plaster of Paris into a plastic container of your choice to set.

    • 4). Press the seashells into the plaster of Paris so the edges are covered. Allow the creation to dry for the time recommended by the product's instructions or overnight.

    • 5). Lift the paper weight out of the plastic container, and begin using.

    Project 3

    • 1). Wash a large, smooth rock with warm water and a scrub brush with two or three drops of soap applied to it.

    • 2). Apply an even coat of decoupage solution to the rock with a foam brush. Place pressed flowers or leaves on the surface of the rock.

    • 3). Coat the entire rock and decorations with another layer of decoupage. Allow to dry to the touch, then re-coat the rock with decoupage. Repeat one or two more times before use, allowing the surface to dry in between each application.
