Social phobia disorder, you seem to hear those words constantly these days? • Afraid to leave the house.
  • Uncomfortable in crowded places.
  • Problems speaking in public.
  • Dislike being around other people at social events.

  • Afraid of confined areas.
  • Restricting in breathing in public.
  • Panic attacks.

The list goes on, and on!

Every where you tend to go now days there seems to be old therapies that claim to treat social phobia disorder. I can not understand how any one is suppose to treat this illness, when all that is given is purely something to cover the anxious feelings.

The minute we tell the Dr about how we feel they tell us your stressed, your having anxious thoughts, you need to slow down. Then they start writing out scripts for prescription drugs. And last but not least, they then send you to a local shrink that has not solved a case in 20 years.

Why do i know his? i suffered from social phobia disorder for 13 years.I lived the night mare, and might i add not one thing helped me. Infact in the end i was worse off, as the shrink brought up all my past. I think it created more then social phobia disorder for me from that day on.

Social phobia disorder is created from fear, fear of being in public. Now the main reason we get anxious is because we don't trust our selves to be safe. We start to imagine all sorts of crazy what ifs.

Thought pattern of a sufferer from social phobia disorder!
  • I can not go out to day i may have an anxiety attack.
  • If i get on the train i will feel trapped and i may need to use the bathroom, oh no then i will have a panic attack.
  • I can not que up as i will get anxious and i may pass out.
  • I can not control a panic attack.

All of this words should sound very familiar to a social phobia disorder victim!

Ok this is the solution.Panic is only in our minds, we create it, and the more we fear it, the more it controls our thoughts. From this day forward you need to do 3 things.
  • Except panic attack in your life.
  • Become familiar with it's side effect.
  • Request it to give all it has got, bye this i mean bring on the full attack.
  • Then invite it back.

At this point your probably thinking I'm crazy.First thing you should never do is push anxiety away, you need to deal with the emotional side of it's effects. Think about this, what has actually happened to you when you have had an attack. You are still here right? it did not kill you, and i WILL reassure you panic will not harm you physically . It gets it's strength only from the way you react to it.
