How to Find Out the Market Value of Real Estate
- 1). Type or copy http://www.realestate.com into your Internet browser.
- 2). Find the "Home Prices" tab at the top of the page and place your cursor on it. Three topics will immediately appear underneath it.
- 3). Click on "Home Prices & Values." This will take you to another screen.
- 4). Input the address of your subject property in the first box. Example: "123 Main Street."
- 5). Type the city and state or zip code in the second box. Example: "Anytown, CA" or "12345." A new screen will appear.
- 6). Look to the right of the graph, beneath "Property Information," and you will find a price range for your property called the "Value Estimate Range." The middle of the range, between "Low" and "High," indicates the best estimate of value for your property.
