How to Defeat Demon Wall on "Final Fantasy"
- 1). Cast the haste spell on your major physical fighters immediately. The Demon Wall in "Final Fantasy IV" is susceptible to slow, so cast that immediately as well.
- 2). Use any limit breaks (VII) or quickenings (XII) as soon as you get them. The Demon Walls in all three games are relatively difficult monsters that should be killed as quickly as possible. This is especially important in "Final Fantasy IV" and "Final Fantasy XII" because the wall closes in on your characters, ultimately crushing them if you do not defeat it quickly enough.
- 3). Attack with the most powerful physical attacks you have. In "Final Fantasy XII," you should remove any healing gambits to conserve time. Use special commands like "Throw" or "Jump" if the resulting damage is greater than the corresponding character's standard attack.
- 4). Use summon monsters with Rydia in "Final Fantasy IV" and Aeris in "Final Fantasy VII." Titan works well in IV, and Bahamut deals a lot of damage in VII. Do not use summons in XII, because it will cost you precious time.
- 5). Heal any characters that the Demon Wall critically damages. Also be sure to heal any negative status changes that occur during the battle. In "Final Fantasy XII," remember that you will have to manually heal your characters if you removed their healing gambits. The more healthy characters you have, the more quickly you will be able to defeat the Demon Wall.
- 6). Repeat Steps 2 through 5 until the Demon Wall dies. If your characters are strong enough, you will be able to defeat these monsters this way.
