Positive Articles Are Easier To Write But Too Much Rah Rah Has Its Dangers - Let"s Talk

103 15
Over the last six or seven years, I've written over 28,500 articles, in fact, this is number 28,550.
One thing I've learned is that the easiest articles to write are positive articles in the self-help venue.
Whenever I feel like my quota is lacking, or I'm getting behind in my interim goals to hit my quantity objectives for the month I tend to put together a slew of positive self-help success type articles.
However, in writing these articles, and realizing how easy they are to put out, because I can write one after the other every 5 minutes it seems; I wonder if it even makes sense to post such material online.
Let's talk about this for second shall we? First, since I use voice recognition software, I merely dictate the article and then do the editing.
Since I am an optimistic and upbeat person, the articles come out quite well, positive, and surprisingly they are well received by the reader and well read.
In fact my positive articles have a much higher article view count than the others.
So should I write more? That's hard to say, because I'm not the only one writing in this venue, many other authors specialize in this, and there are all sorts of self-help websites, blogs, and an endless stream of digital content online, not only on the social networks, but also in the mainstream media and everywhere you look.
Sometimes it makes sense to look out of rose-colored glasses, and see the glass half full, I can hardly disagree with that, but I would submit to you that too much "rah rah, go team, go" can also be dangerous.
They say that the most optimistic people fall the hardest when they do fall, it's hard to say why this is, but perhaps it's because they believe that everything will work out okay even when things start going badly, they put hope for change ahead of strategic objectives, unfortunately, the change which comes is not always for the better.
However, they just keep hoping against the odds, until it all collapses.
Therefore I wonder if it is the right thing to do to write so many positive articles online because it could give someone a false sense of reality.
Of course, people are able to choose which content they read, and what they choose not to read.
Mostly people who need psychological uplift, or are in a "temporary fog of depression" wish to read positive content over negative material.
In light of the 2012 political campaigns in the United States, maybe it's time that we had more positive information out there, because we sure got hit with a lot of negative attack ads over the course of 18 months.
If you're an online article writer, I sure hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
Everything I've said here has come from personal experience, I haven't read it anywhere, but I've been thinking about it for a long time and I thought I'd mention it to you.
What you do with this information is totally up to you, you may even have had different experiences and observations, and that's fine too.
