What"s Your Blog Grade?
Thought grades were left behind in school days? So did I.
I wasn't thinking about my blog in terms of "A" or "F.
" However, I guess it's only common sense that everything we do can fall into the grading category.
So is your blog an "F" or an "A" in SEO? SEO Score We spend so much time with our on-page optimization, it's only natural to want to know if it's working.
I recently used a great tool that showed me my SEO score or rather my mozRank.
mozRank in a nutshell analyzes key internal/external factors of your site for optimization and readability.
Ok, truth time..

when I first checked this out about a month and a half ago, my site SEO was -0! Hahahahah..
..
yep, I sucked.
You read it right, a minus zero score.
So, I pulled up the boot straps, researched and researched, focused on writing and optimizing.
Then today, I got a reminder email that I could check my website grade again.
Yippee! Let's see if my efforts have done anything.
I am happy to say that my mozRank moved up to a 3.
Thank God, because at least now I know that I am moving in the right direction.
Always room to improve on every aspect of our blogs.

I had a 40 the first time a month and a half ago and today, an 88.
I know we all use tons of tools to help us analyze things, but I really like this tool.

You will get an overall website grade as well as everything else and tips for further optimizing your site.
The Bottom Line Whatever analysis tool you use, it's important to check the progress of your work.
It doesn't do you any good to write, build links, optimize or anything else if you can't determine what works and what does not.
The benefits of ongoing optimization will be null and void without grading yourself.
