    • 4). Click the "Back" button at the top left corner of the screen to return to the Power Options window. Click the "Adjust the Display Brightness" link at the left side of the window if you want to manually increase or decrease the screen's brightness level.

    • 5). Click the "Adjust Display Brightness" scroll bar located underneath the "On Battery" heading. Drag the bar toward the right to increase the brightness or toward the left to decrease the brightness. Repeat the process with the scroll bar located underneath the "Plugged In" heading and click "Save Changes."

    Connecting to a Wireless Network

    • 1). Right-click the HP "Wireless Assistant" button in the taskbar at the lower right corner of the screen and click "Turn On." Right-click the wireless network icon in the taskbar and select "Connect to a Network."

    • 2). Locate the name of the wireless network you want to connect to in the list of detected networks. Click the network's name, then click the "Connect" button at the bottom of the window.

    • 3). Type the wireless network's password, if it uses one, in the "Password" text box and click "Connect" again to access the network.

    Reinstalling Windows

    • 1). Unplug any cables or devices connected to the 6515 laptop. Navigate to the "Start" menu, open the "All Programs" folder and click the "Recovery Manager" folder. Click the icon labeled "Recovery Manager" to open the Windows recovery tool.

    • 2). Click the "Advanced Options" button at the lower left corner of the window. Choose the radio button labeled "System Recovery" and click "Next."

    • 3). Wait for the laptop to automatically restart. When the recovery tool appears on the screen, click "System recovery" and "Next." Click "No" and "Next."

    • 4). Click "Next" at each prompt until the laptop again restarts. Open the drop-down menu and click the language option you want to use. Select the next drop-down and click the time zone setting for your laptop. Click "Next" at each prompt, then click "Finish."
