South Africa World Cup Preview of Games - Monday 21 June
Portugal v Korea in Group G will be playing at 12:30.
The 15:00 will see Chile play Switzerland in Group H and the last game of the day will see Spain play Honduras at 19:30.
With Brazil and the Ivory Coast in Group G, this group of death may see the sacking of one of the coaches either from Brazil or Portugal.
Having said that Ivory Coast have appointed Sven Goran Ericsson as their head coach so I don't think the big guns of world football will be shaking in their boots for too long.
Korea played fantastically well in the 2002 world cup reaching the semi finals for the first time.
However this time round they will find it hard pressed to get out of the group stages.
I predict Portugal with Rolando and Gomes scoring in a 3-1 victory over the Koreans.
In the middle game of the day we see Chile play Switzerland in Group H.
I predict a tight games with both defences on top.
The attacking options on both teams are pretty limited.
No star players come to mind.
So this will be a boring 0-0 draw.
Thankfully we will see Spain play in the final game of the day.
Facing the giants of Honduras I can see an upset.
NOT! With the players that Spain have I see a hat full of goals.
Lets hope Fernando Torres is back to his best playing up front with David Villa.
With Xavi and Inestia plugging the stings from mid field I predict a 5-0 victory to the Spaniards.
Some of the football that is being played by Barcelona will have an effect on the Spanish national team.
The speed of attack and switching of plan is a joy to behold.
This should be a great game to watch.
