How Are We Attracted by and Attractive to the Opposite Sex?
We do make choices but they are driven by forces beyond our control and hopefully the proper perspective.
Scientific studies, done mainly on insects, suggest that pheromones are responsible for attraction and communication between insects and animals of the same species.
The pheromone is a chemical that is released by the body naturally and affects members of the same species.
These pheromones are understood by the body and there are many different types.
One type may even signal the opposite sex that they are genetically alike and a good mate for reproduction.
Although this chemical has been studied in mostly insects it is found in other animals, humans and even some plants.
There is conflict about whether these pheromones exist in humans and if they affect our attraction to a man or woman.
Human preference for the opposite sex is also affected by sight, smell and personality preferences.
The personality of a person and the way we perceive that personality is different for each of us.
This explains how once we get to know each other better through time we realize the person is not what we originally thought.
Personality plays a big part in human attraction and we look for certain qualities in a person.
Physical attraction causes us to notice each other and sparks interest to find out more about a person.
However, over time physical attraction does not make a lasting love relationship.
It is sharing values, desires and goals that make a relationship work.
Some driving forces that attract us to one another may be beyond our control but, you can present yourself so that you have more choices in mate selection.
Being a healthy well rounded person with a good attitude will make you desirable to a wider range of potential mates.
Although, physical attraction will be the first thing that attracts it is not the determining factor to a lasting loving relationship.
You should strive to be honest and be yourself right from the start and you should expect the same from your partner.
Trying to be someone you are not will only lead to disappointment.
When you feel good about yourself and are healthy in all in all areas of your life you will be irresistible.
These are things that you should do for yourself to live a happier healthier life anyway.
Becoming irresistibly attractive to the opposite sex is just a bonus.
