• Jak and Daxter are two best friends and unlikely heroes flung together, initially with the goal of returning Daxter to his original form. "Jak and Daxter"

• In the original game, the duo meet a sage, Samos, a master of the Green Eco healing art. This magical force has enormous power--such as transforming Daxter into his Ottsel form on Misty Island. The two begin their quest to restore Daxter to his human form, only to be separated and jailed by the end of it. Along the way, they learn about the Precursors, who were masters of Eco and will know more about it.
  
  

"Jak II"

• Between the first and second installments, a PSP spin-off around Daxter explained how the Ottsel rescued his best friend from prison in the Krimzon Guard Fortress. During a quest for revenge on Baron Praxis, and exploring his new Dark Eco powers, Jak and the gang are flung into the future in "Jak II."
  
  

"Jak 3"

• Light balances out dark, and Jak is given powers of Light Eco by the Precursors. Returning to Haven City, the duo find it in civil war, with three rival factions vying for control. The people of the city, fighting, don't trust the heroes, and exile them. Under cover of this battle and exile, the Dark Precursors arrive.
  
  

"Jak X: Combat Racing"

• The studio behind these games is also responsible for "Crash Bandicoot" and its racing spin-off, "Crash Team Racing." Taking the formula from that game and some of the vehicles players encounter in the original trilogy, this action-packed game also has an interesting story: Jak and the people he cares about are poisoned, and they are literally forced to race for the cure.
  
  

"Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier"

• Set in the years after the first trilogy and racing games, this title finds the heroes escorting a friend, Keira, who's on her way to become a sage. The heroes are shot down in the air by a Sky-pirate named Phoenix, who becomes a tenuous ally throughout the upcoming battles. A worse foe, responsible for a power shortage, is calls for a team-up between Phoenix and Jak.
