Definition of a Player in Dating

104 13

    Center of Attention

    • A player is an attention-getter and enjoys being the main attraction. He enjoys having many women adoring him and needs this for his ego. He doesn't know how to feel good about himself any other way.

    Mysterious

    • There are players from both sexes. They're mysterious about their comings and goings. A player looks at her cell phone when it rings in your company and just turns if off, dismissing it as a friend or family member.

    Inconsistently Available

    • A player will shower you with attention one day but be unavailable physically and/or emotionally the next day. There will always be what seems like a legitimate excuse for the vanishing act that sounds very convincing.

    Controlling

    • A player likes the control and thrill of having a boyfriend in every port. The control she has over the people she is playing is another gratification that fulfills a need for her.

    Sex

    • A player is usually looking for sex. He might offer a brief dating period at first but then will want to stay in even when you want to go out. He'll make you feel special and try to make you give in.

    Dishonest

    • In some cases, a player might not mention that he's married with a family. He'll want you to be faithful and swears he will, too. He'll string you along and let you believe you have a future together.

    Selfish

    • The player is extremely selfish. It's all about taking in a relationship, and no giving. He won't be the person to bring you ice cream or soup if you're at home sick. You are no good to him in that condition, and you won't see him until you feel better. It's all about what you can do for him.
