Solder one end of the first wire to the "Tip" terminal on the audio plug. Solder the other end of this wire to the non-inverting input terminal (pin 3) on the operational amplifier (op-amp).

    • 3). Solder one end of the second wire to the "Tip" terminal on the audio jack (socket). Twist together the free end of this wire together with one end of the 100 Kiloohm resistor, and solder the twisted wire pair to the op-amp output terminal (pin 1).

    • 4). Twist together the free end of the 100 Kiloohm resistor together with one of the leads from the 1 Kilooohm resistor. Solder this twisted wire pair to the op-amp inverting output terminal (pin 2).

    • 5). Twist together the free end of the 1 Kiloohm resistor together with one end of the third wire. Solder the electrical joint.

    • 6). Solder one end of the fourth wire to the "Sleeve" terminal on the audio plug. Solder one end of the fifth wire to the "Sleeve" terminal on the audio jack.

    • 7). Solder one end of the sixth wire to the "V+" terminal (pin 8) on the op-amp. Solder one end of the seventh wire to the "GND" terminal (pin 4) on the op-amp.

    • 8). Connect the free end of the sixth wire to the positive terminal on the power supply. Connect the free ends of the third, fourth, fifth, and seventh wires to the negative terminal on the power supply.
