How Can I Make Weed Killers?
- 1). Fill a 1-gallon plastic jug with 1 qt. of white vinegar, 2 tsp. liquid dish detergent and 1/4 cup of table salt. Seal the jug and shake it vigorously to mix the ingredients.
- 2). Pour the mixed solution into a spray bottle. Spray the solution directly onto the weeds. Wait three hours for the solution to take affect and begin turning the weeds brown.
- 3). Inspect the weeds after 24 hours. If the weeds are fully brown and wilted, pull them straight up and out of the ground. Otherwise, spray the weeds again and wait 24 hours for them to die.
- 1). Boil 1 qt. of water in a saucepan on your stovetop.
- 2). Pour the boiling water into a spray bottle. Wear rubber gloves and be careful handling the water.
- 3). Spray the boiling water directly onto the weeds. Wait three hours for the boiling water to take affect and begin killing the weeds.
- 4). Examine the weeds after 24 hours. If the weeds are fully brown and wilted, pull them straight up and out of the ground. Otherwise, spray the weeds again and wait 24 hours for them to die.
