How to Keep Eyeshadow From Under the Eyes During Application
- 1). Apply makeup remover to a cotton-ball swab and run the swab over your eyelids; you want your lids to be free and clean of debris and grease before you begin.
- 2). Apply a dot of eyeshadow primer to your fingertip and sweep it across your eyelids. Smooth out any clumps of primer, making it sure it looks even and covers your entire lid, starting all the way down at your lash line.
- 3). Let the primer dry for about 30 seconds before proceeding; if it doesn't dry, it won't work as well.
- 4). Run your fingertip over the surface of your eyeshadow palette, and dust the powder gently across your eyelid, starting at the inner corner of your eye and working your way outward.
- 5). Apply more coats of powder as needed; don't get too heavy-handed, or you'll go out looking more clownish than glamorous.
- 6). Use a cotton-ball swab dipped in makeup remover as needed to correct any mistakes; you will also want to use a swab around the corner of your eye to remove any clumped-up eyeshadow that could form there.
