Why Anyone Serious About Making Their Own Album Should Avoid Using Free Beats at All Cost

If you are into song making, then you will know that there are a lot of beats available which are free and some that are paid.
If you are just starting out, getting free sounds like a good idea.
This might be true if you are just practicing, but the truth is using beats that are free for your own professional albums or mix tapes is a big mistake.
Anyone that is serious about producing albums should avoid free beats, period.
Why are free beats bad? There are several reasons why using free beats only degrades the quality of your song.
Producers give away free beats because they typically can't sell many of their own.
The freebie beats are meant to attract potential customers, so they give out the lesser quality ones instead for free.
If you try to make a good song using poor quality beats, it will have a direct impact on how your song sounds.
A good song requires good beats and free beats are usually extremely poor quality.
Not all free beats are of extremely poor quality and you might get lucky and find a producer who gives out beats for free that sound great, however, there is always a catch.
What they typically do is put a loud voice tag through the beat to make sure you don't try and take credit for making the beat.
This might not sound that bad, but the problem is that when you have voice tags running through beats in your song, it distracts the listener away from the lyrics you wrote.
Do you want a listener to be distracted and pay more attention to voice tags in beats than your own lyrics? Hopefully not.
One trick is to just up the volume of your lyrics and try to cover up the voice tags, but this usually results in a song that is so loud that no-one can listen to it for prolonged periods.
Free beats sound great, but as with all things in life you get what you pay for.
If the quality of your songs is important to you, you'll spend some time and money finding one many reasonable priced beat makers out there and use their beats instead of lesser quality free ones.
Free beats are OK if you are just starting out with song making, but anyone who is serious about making mixtapes or albums should pay for their beats.
