Physical evidence that Sasquatch lives?
Sasquatch ... Bigfoot. Those names have long been associated with tall, hairy creatures that appear to be half-man and half-ape. In 1978, a resident in rural Snohomish, Washington, had been hearing eerie, high-pitched screams around her forested property and her dog was agitated. One late afternoon, she could see a hairy, ape-like creature she estimated stood between 8 to 10 feet tall standing in the trees some distance from her back porch.
When the Sasquatch began emitting sounds, she ran into the house for her tape recorder and was able to capture a few minutes...

Alien theme park considered for Roswell
Not only is it feasible to build an alien-themed amusement park in Roswell, a city official said, it's the only city where such a park could work. Zach Montgomery, planning director for the city of Roswell, said New Mexico State University's Arrowhead Business Center did the feasibility study on the possibility of locating an alien theme park in Roswell. Because of the worldwide recognition of Roswell for aliens, he said, it was much more viable in the area...
Spirit trackers take on Idle Hour 'ghosts'
"Some glad morning when this life is o'er, I'll fly away; To a home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away." No one was near the jukebox in the Idle Hour Yacht Club on Thursday night when it began belting out the Alison Krauss song I'll Fly Away. The machine wasn't even on. "This is the fourth jukebox we've gone through to try and make sure it wasn't a problem with the machine," said Beverly Wilkens, advertising and marketing director at the yacht club.
"It just keeps playing. It really likes Gene Autry, but spits out Elvis songs"...
Is there a ghost in the house?
Some people swear by the existence of ghosts, others dismiss them as belonging in the realms of fairy stories. But in the last of The News' three-part The Unexplained series, Alex Forsyth finds out what happened when ghost-hunters staked out one of Portsmouth's spookiest haunts. A group of intrepid ghost-hunters had one of their spookiest nights on record in a local haunt. Wessex Ghost Hunters (WGH) have been investigating paranormal activity in and around the area for three years...
French space agency to publish UFO archive online
The French space agency is to publish its archive of UFO sightings and other phenomena online, but will keep the names of those who reported them off the site to protect them from pestering by space fanatics. Jacques Arnould, an official at the National Space Studies Center (CNES), said the French database of around 1,600 incidents would go live in late January or mid-February...
Mothman phone home
John Keel's Mothman Prophecies is a classic of fortean and UFO literature. If you don't think so, we can step outside. Keel weaves the strange events of 1966-67 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia into a chilling tale which ended in a predicted disaster...
Rewriting the instructions, postmortem
In a previous post I speculated that the ultimate nature of reality is information, analogous to a set of instructions, and that in certain cases our own consciousness can rewrite these instructions and change reality. I'm not insisting this hypothesis is true; I'm just throwing it out there for consideration. And if there is any truth to it, then it ought to remain true even after our consciousness is separated from its physical vessel. In this respect, it's interesting to look at a couple of quotes from a recent interview with Deepak Chopra, touting his new book Life after Death...
Gerald Ford, the presidents, and UFOs
I don't want to say much else about Gerald Ford and his legacy of pardoning the crimes of the Nixon Administration, or being the initial planting of what would become the Bush Administration. But after his death, and on topic for the blog, let us not forget that when Gerald Ford was a Congressman from Michigan, he was the highest profile person publically interested in UFOs...
UFOs 2006: A year end wrapup
This year, 2006, has been a watershed of sorts in the field of UFOlogy. From the stories I have investigated, to those contributed by writers and those from eyewitnesses, 2006 was indeed a monumental and unforgettable year for ufodigest.com and ufologists...
