Credit Repair Nuggets to Increasing Your Score and Restoring Your Financial Life

Though economic experts have predicted that the effects of the recession may still be around for years to come does not mean that we should fold our arms and watch our lives drift away while expecting a miracle from the government.
The government starts with you, and really, you and I are the government! So here are some tried-and-tested proven techniques that will get you started to a healthy financial life.
I call them nuggets actually because of the impact they are capable of making.
Enjoy! •Find out what your credit report and score looks like by getting recent copies and scores, and finding out the exact number of negative information you have on all three files (you just have to start from here).
•Bear this in mind, at least 79% of all files contain errors, so be sure to be on the lookout for erroneous information while reading through all three of your files.
And be sure to write them all out on three pieces of paper - one for each of your file.
•Separate the men from the boys by dealing with the most recent negative information first.
An account that just got reported on your file 2 weeks ago should be prioritized over one that was reported 4months ago.
This is because recent accounts carry more weight.
•Increase your score substantially by paying down all outstanding debts on credit lines.
Amounts you owe take up 30% of your total score and resolving this area alone can be magic-like.
•Negotiating works, and if there is any debt that has gone into collection, paying somewhere around half of the original amount you owe the creditor to the collector can get you out.
But try to get the collector to remove the collection - or why do they call it negotiation anyway? •Can't fix your file yourself? Get professional help by consulting with a registered credit repair agency.
•Always use a repair-kit as a guide to fixing your file by yourself.
