How to Paint a Swimming Pool Slide

    • 1). Prepare the surface to be painted. Power wash the slide, then scrub with a solution of trisodium sulfate. Rinse slide to remove traces of the TSP. Then scrub the slide with a solution of muriatic or sulfamic acid. Rinse the slide again, and allow the slide to dry completely.

    • 2). Mix your paint. Epoxy paints require mixing together two parts. Follow manufacturer's instructions.

    • 3). Use the roller to apply the paint. Apply the second coat after 16 to 72 hours. Add designs or detailing after the second coat of paint has cured for an additional 16 to 72 hours. Allow the paint to cure for 5 days before the slide is used.
