How to Make a Homemade Calendar for a Gift
- 1). Choose a picture that you will use for each month of the year. Try to select pictures that match the month. For example, for December, choose a photo of the recipient and her family during the holidays. For the month of June, choose a photo taken at a summer barbecue.
- 2). Go online and find templates for the calendar of each month of the year. These should be already laid out so that holidays are marked. Select one with a font or color that you prefer.
- 3). Print each month out on a different piece of card stock.
- 4). Begin printing your pictures out on the opposite side of the calendar months so that when the calendar is put together, there is a photo on the top and a calendar month on the bottom when you flip through it. For example, one page will have a calendar month on one side and the following month's photo on the other side.
- 5). Punch three holes along the side of the calendar that should be held together when the calendar is flipped open.
- 6). Tie a ribbon through each hole to hold the calendar together.
