How to Create Your Own Free Website With 2-D Images
- 1). Download free 2-D pictures (TIF or JPEG format) from Dreamstime, a royalty-free image service. This service offers a limited amount of free stock photos created by photographers and professional graphic designers.
- 2). Use Pixlr, a free image-editing program, to create 2-D images for your website yourself. This program works similarly to the software used by professional designers to create 2-D images, only you can use it directly from your browser. When finished, save the file as a web-compatible image (JPEG, GIF, or PNG) so you can use it on your free website later.
- 3). Get 2-D images from Flickr, a service that offers free photos. You'll need to give attribution to the owner of the image to use it on your website---an arrangement called a "Creative Commons" license (see the Resources section for more information about how to give proper attribution).
- 1). Use Webs.com to create a free website for yourself. Choose templates for a business or personal website, and edit your page using the drag-and-drop editor. Webs offers you Web space to upload, organize and display your 2D photos in album form as well as throughout your Web pages.
- 2). Create a free website using Google Sites. This free service from Google allows you to gather all of your 2-D images into one place, then build a professional-looking website using templates. If you already have a Google account, simply log in and click "Create site" to start building.
- 3). Build a free website with Yola. Choose a template, and customize it to your needs. This service also offers a drag-and-drop website editor that allows you to upload 2-D pictures to your website or pull them directly from Flickr.
