Story of an indian student
State 1
Rajesh was born in a middle class family; A family which believes that success is a synonym for becoming a "Doctor" or an "Engineer". Rajesh however has no interest to study behind a desk puting in the long hours by the candlelight. He dreams to become an entrepreneur. But, what will happen to his family's expectations if he follows his dream ?. Daunted by this question he chooses to become a Doctor. He begins to prepare for one of the toughest exams in India. He has no inner passion to become a doctor. Everytime he sits to study he thinks of starting his own business. He tries to pass the exams only for his parents ,he loves so much. But as fate had it , he fails. Left with no option and too weak to face his parents, he takes the plunge and dies the next day.
State 2
Akshay was born in a lower middle class family. His family lives in a village. He goes to the nearby city for study though his family has no sufficient money for it. He dreams to be a Doctor. He is trying hard for it. Finally he gets a call from a medical college. But his family has no enough money for continuing his study. No one helps him. He left his dream and went back to his village and did agriculture rest of his life.
State 3
Ajay belongs to a very rich family. His father has a big business empire. He has no pressure from his parents to become a Doctor or an Engineer. His father promises him a luxurious life. But like Rajesh he dreams to be ann entrepreneur. He has no problem for capital, etc. Finally he owns his own business. His dreams never died.
State 4
His name is Hritik. He is born in family with contemporary thoughts. His parents promise him to let him do anything he wants or dreams. He is free to become an entrepreneur or a painter or a doctor or an engineer. He has not faced any pre defined society rules. He succeeds in whatever path he chooses.
The all of the above short stories have been seen or experienced by me. But the question lies in the purpose of writing these. The problem lies in the society rules of India. Maximum no. of the cases go to the state 1 & 2. Something set in the society forces the parents to just put their expectations on their wards or the situation in their family force the youth to go against their dreams. I dont know how to express my feelings against these society pre defined rules.Hope you would have understood what I am trying to convey. All of us will have try to overcome these rules. Hope everybody understands my message...
