Lowest Airfares Pros And Cons

103 14
In the last two decades there have been significant changes in the way of travelling, especially in the United States and Europe.
A great deal of changes was produced by low-cost airlines and the introduction of their lowest airfares in the market.
In most of the cases, their fares are even lower than the ones regularly offered to people.
This new commercial strategy of cheap flights comes together with the growth of tourism.
Tourism that grows year after year and this fact indicates that this trend will keep on growing.
People who were not used to travelling are now booking their tickets because they can do that through the lowest airfares.
When it comes to low-cost airlines, we can say that they are getting passengers to different parts of the world.
The difference between low-cost airlines and traditional airlines is that the first ones are dealing with the great business of cheaper prices.
These companies tend to use alternative terminals which allow them to use fewer employees and have more flights.
There is no free food.
There are no customer service offices, there is no reimbursement.
It only involves travelling from one site to another.
These companies can offer the lowest airfares because of their service optimization.
While it is true that the lowest airfares are benefiting more and more passengers, it is also a fact that these fares are also helping more people and organizations, too.
For instance, they are indirectly contributing to secondary airports because they are having more passengers.
At the same time, more jobs are being created because of the air demand.
More employees are needed to work in the air-traffic control, planes need maintenance, passengers' needs have to be dealt and so on and so forth.
This growth in the working environment leads to more investment and therefore more money is being put in the regional economy where companies develop their activities.
In other words, when someone is purchasing one of the lowest airfares they are collaborating with the development of useful activities.
A passenger who finds himself outside the terminal needs a means of transport for getting to his final destination.
This passenger will also need where to have a meal, where to stay, etc.
Tourists are, in a way, helping to develop the regional economy.
Growth in the travelling industry is not just a pro.
These so-called lowest airfares are causing some problems, too.
The more the demand, the more flights in the region.
Those flights are causing one of the most serious threats against the environment due to the emission of CO2 which derives from burning fuel.
In addition to this threat, let us say that tourists are contaminating these new regions, too.
More rubbish, more buildings, services, etc.
This leads to pollution.
All things considered, people should bear in mind that when choosing where to go on holiday, travelling by plane is not the only option we have.
We can save the planet and think of the ecology and our future.
So, choosing the lowest airfares are up to you.
You can benefit from them, but at what cost?
