How to Measure Mirrored Bi-Fold Closet Doors
- 1). Close the closet doors before measuring, if you currently have a bi-fold door. If you have a sliding closet door, open the door so you have access to both upper corners of the opening. If you have a standard hinged closet door, simply open the door.
- 2). Take all measurements for the door opening from the front of the upper track, if you currently have bi-fold doors. If you have a sliding or hinged door, take the measurements from the hinge side of the door opening or the rear of the sliding door tracks.
- 3). Measure the width of the opening from one corner to the opposite corner with a tape measure. Take the measurement from the top, middle and bottom of the closet door opening. Write down the smallest of the three measurements as the width necessary for the mirrored closet door.
- 4). Take the height measurement from the top to the floor on the left side, right side and middle of the opening. Measure from the inside top of the opening to the floor. Use the smallest of the three measurements as the height necessary for your new mirrored doors.
