There are many advantages of the Electric Dog Fence.
You must have noticed that a dog is charging at you across the yard and has stopped suddenly.
Why has this happened? This is because the dog has learned to stay within the borders of the yard because of the use of the electric fence.
The history of electric dog fence goes back to more than 30 years.
Presently there are many companies which provide the electric fences without any brand name.
But these electric fences are extremely useful.
If you see closely, you will find a small box on the collar of the dog.
This box is nothing but the receiver that tells or commands the dog not to cross the fence.
In case the dog crosses the boundary he will get a small warning and a minute shock that will be reminiscent of his training.
The advantages are clear.
Your dog never crosses the fence and that prevents him from hurting the passersby.
As a house owner, now you don't have to install that fence which was blocking your favorite view.
Basically you are not ruining your landscape by that wooden or the chain link fence and at the same time you are in complete control of your pet.
Thus the electric fence not only provides you with the security to your pet, but it keeps the beauty intact.
The wireless electric fence is an effective dog training tool.
They are installed by the professionals who sell it to you.
You can also install it on your own but that would be a cumbersome task.
The fence comprises of two parts.
The first part comprises of a wire that is installed under the ground and it is attached to the transmitter that is powered by electricity.
The other part contains the small box or the receiver as mentioned above.
When the receiver goes beyond a certain distance from the transmitter, your dog gets a gentle shock that gives him a negative feedback.
Training sessions for this consists of taking your dog out with the leash initially and then making them understand the importance of the negative feedback.
Even though the shock given to the dog is quite harmless, the dog knows that something is totally out of place and should not be done.
You can train the dog for a period of 10 to 15 minutes at the most in one time.
After a few weeks your dog will get fully trained.
