How to Troubleshoot a Bissell Rug Cleaner Pro Heat
- 1). Position the machine flat on the carpeting. The machine will not work if it senses an obstruction or if it is not relatively level. Remove any obstructions.
- 2). Press the vacuum flex hose into the machine tightly until you hear the release tabs snap into place. The machine will not run if the hose is not properly installed.
- 3). Remove the clean tank by grasping the handle and pulling straight up. The machine may not be working if the tank is empty.
- 4). Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the tank and fill it with cleaning solution up to the indicated line. Fill the rest of the tank with water. Screw the cap back on and press the tank back into the machine.
- 5). Dampen a clean cloth with water if the machine is still not spraying. The spray tip may be clogged.
- 6). Wipe the spray tip with the clean cloth until you've dissolved all of the clogged cleaning solution. The spray tip is located in the middle of the bottom of the machine.
- 7). Remove the dirty tank if the machine has lost suction. The tank might be full and will need to be emptied. Remove the tank by lifting the latch above it and pulling the tank out.
- 8). Throw away the dirty water and rinse out the tank. Put the tank back in the machine and lower the latch.
