How to Terminate a T-Mobile Contract

    New Service

    • 1). Return to the place you bought your phone and/or activated your service, or go to another T-Mobile store. Bring your phone, receipt and original contract. Make sure to return within 14 days of the original activation.

    • 2). Inform the representative that you would like to cancel your service and return the phone. Provide the representative with your receipt to show that you are within the 14-day limit. Return any and all T-Mobile phone(s) and/or device(s) you received at the time you activated your account.

    • 3). Pay any usage and/or restocking fees, or make billing arrangements. Ask for a receipt that shows that you returned the phone, canceled the service and paid the fees.

    Existing Service

    • 1). Call 1-877-746-0909 to speak with a T-Mobile representative. Inform the representative that you would like to cancel your service.

    • 2). Pay or make arrangements to pay any remaining fees and balances. Request an email confirmation of your arrangement to cancel the contract.

    • 3). Print or save a copy of your confirmation page or email. This is to ensure that you have a record of your request in case further action is required in the future.
