How to Get Around Town in Gatlinburg
- 1). The easiest way to get around Gatlinburg, if you're staying in accommodations in the center of town, is to walk. With traffic congestion and other tourists out and about, walking is often the fastest way to get from one attraction to another. Walking also offers the opportunity to visit places you may otherwise overlook. In fact, there are many side streets and alleys with shops that are only accessible by foot.
- 2). Gatlinburg also features trolley service. There are six different trolley routes with more than 100 trolley stops. The routes are color coded. A link has been provided in the resources section.Using the trolley is an economical mode of transportation, especially if an All Day Trolley Pass option is being offered. This affords you all-day transportation for only $2 (excluding the Pink and Tan routes). Each trolley route has a different pickup schedule ranging from every 20 minutes to every hour. If you're staying in town you can walk to the trolley stations. Otherwise, there are secure, supervised parking decks and lots where you can leave your car for a fee and then easily hop on the trolley.
