• In the United Kingdom, a superintendent has five points, or levels, of pay. As of 2010, the first point of pay was 62,298 pounds a year, according to Police-Information. The second point was 64,869 pounds a year; the third was 67,437 pounds a year. The fourth pay point was 70,014 pounds a year and the fifth, and final, point was 72,585 pounds a year. Pay points depend on the number of years an officer has been on duty.
