Even before the release of her third album "Speak Now," Taylor Swift was a bona-fide country and pop music star.
So, when the new CD hit stands this fall, there where high hopes.
Let me assure you, "Speak Now" will not disappoint.
In this creative effort, the singer-songwriter both holds true to her musical roots while finding a way to allow her sweet, youthful vocals to move in some new directions and take on some other unique attributes.
And, the Deluxe Edition of the album comes with an additional enhanced CD with three bonus songs, additional versions of three others and behind the scenes videos as well as the final video for the CD's first single "Mine.
" Speaking of "Mine" this classic yet more mature sounding track was surely a great way to lead off as an intro into this album.
Among the other more notable tracks are "Mean," "The Story of Us," Better Than Revenge," "Haunted," "Last Kiss," and "Long Live.
" "Mean" gives off a pop, slightly aggressive feel but reconciles it well with traditional country style.
The two tracks "The Story of Us" and "Better Than Revenge" both send out a little more of an energetic, fast paced vibe with the later offering the listener elements of rock as well.
The intense beats of "Haunted" make it one of my personal favorites.
And between the album's final two tracks "Last Kiss" and "Live Long," you have a nice mixture blending the subtle, simple, lively and fun aspects of Swift's vocals and personality.
All in all, "Speak Now" should undoubtedly be another major success in only the early stages of the career of such a talented young woman.
I would recommend it to anyone from devoted to casual country and pop fans to those who might like to take a chance on an outstanding young talent.
