How to Download Samples Into MPC1000
- 1). Remove the flash card from your MPC1000.
- 2). Insert the flash card into the MPC card reader.
- 3). Insert the MPC card reader into a USB port on your computer and allow the computer to recognize that it's been inserted. A screen will usually pop up to prompt you to open the folder of the inserted media to view the contents.
- 4). Open the folder on the computer that contains the samples you want to put on the MPC1000.
- 5). Click on the samples to highlight them and then drag them over to the flash card folder. You can also copy and paste them (do what's most efficient for you).
- 6). Remove the flash card from the MPC flash card reader and insert it into the MPC1000. Turn the MPC1000 on and press the "MODE" button, then press "PAD 2."
- 7). Scroll through the folders on the LCD screen that represent the collections on your flash card until you see the group of samples you just downloaded. Once you've ensured the presence of the samples, you can load them and make some music.
- 1). Start up the MPC1000.
- 2). Insert the USB cable into the USB ports on the MPC1000 and the computer. The MPC1000 will show up as a new device on your computer, but you don't need to bother with synchronizing it or installing software because you're only connecting it to download samples.
- 3). Open the MPC1000 folder (the sample folder should appear).
- 4). Open the folder that contains the sounds you want to download to the MPC1000.
- 5). Click on the sounds and drag them over to the MPC1000 folder. The sounds will be transferred to the MPC1000. Scroll through the sample bank on the MPC1000 to ensure that the sounds are there, and then you can disconnect the USB cable and use the sounds.
