How to Make Money From Your eBook, Even If It"s a Flop
So you can almost guarantee your success.
I want to show you how you can make money from your eBook even if it is a flop and you never make a sale.
I once created an eBook, which was a complete flop.
I made about 4-5 sales and all in all it was a big waste of time.
Unfortunately I created this the traditional way so it was difficult to turn this around and make money from it (plus I didn't have the knowledge I have now).
I am going to show you how you can make money even if your eBook is a complete flop (which every now and then it will be).
Traffic and Advertising The most obvious advantage of using this method to create your products is that you gain an increased amount of traffic, even before your eBook is published.
Your articles (if they are good), will attract readers from a variety of sources.
First you will attract readers back to your blog over and over again because of your new content (and the interesting series you are doing).
Secondly you will attract readers from search engines (this is more of a long term effect).
Thirdly you will attract readers from social media and other sources.
One of the great things about blog posts is that they can drive traffic to your website constantly for months or even years.
This means that you have to opportunity to make money from selling advertising.
The combined traffic from all of your blog posts (that wouldn't have appeared had you not used this method), will certainly increase your advertising income.
It might increase it significantly, or maybe only slightly.
But every increase in traffic will ultimately lead to an increase in income.
So you can make money using this method even if you never make one eBook sale.
Affiliate Sales The next great way that you can make money even if your eBook is a flop is from affiliate sales.
In your eBook/posts you can include links to affiliate products/programs.
Whenever someone clicks on this link and buys a product or signs up for a paid service you will gain a commission from this.
Almost all of my eBooks have affiliate links in them, and therefore all of my blog posts also contain the affiliate links.
Someone doesn't need to purchase an eBook from you to make money from affiliate links.
A previous eBook of mine that I gave away had links to an affiliate program.
When someone signed up for that program and earned money then I got 5.
5% of whatever they earned.
I learned a great deal of income from this process and I am still earning 5.
5% for every dollar someone earns.
I have also made money from people signing up for online services where they pay a monthly fee.
I earn money every single month and I don't have to do anything to get it.
This is a great system.
You can also include simple email/zip submits affiliate programs in your articles.
So whenever someone clicks on this link all they need to do is fill in their email address or their zip code and you can earn $1-$2 per person.
Your article might convert 5 people per month.
So even if you don't make one eBook sale you can easily earn a great deal of money from affiliate links without ever having to sell anything.
Obviously you can also have affiliate links where you get paid a commission every time you make a sale.
If your articles aren't driving a whole lot of traffic then you can try submitting them to EzineArticles.
This allows people to publish the article on their website on their Ezine.
Whenever they publish your material they have to include a signature that leads back to your website.
You can have this signature link to a sales page (for your product), a squeeze page (to build your list), or to a landing page that leads to your affiliate product/service (similar to above).
This is a great method to make money because if your articles are good chances are that one of them might get picked up by a large ezine owner and sent out to their large list, resulting in hundreds of thousands of hits for doing absolutely nothing.
Sell Your Product Rights If none of the above methods have worked for you then you might want to bail out completely and sell the complete rights to your product and let someone else try and sell it.
If it is a flop then you probably won't be able to sell the product for a great deal, but even if you can make $20-$50 from selling your rights then that is $20-$50 that you wouldn't have made otherwise.
This however, should be considered a last resort.
I am a firm believer that it is better to keep your report and earn a small amount of income over a period of time, then to sell it for a lump sum and then never make any more money from it.
