Google Plus for Targeted Real Estate Email
I'm liking Google + a lot. It has plenty of room for improvement, but I'm sure that will come quickly. One thing I noticed when I brought in my Google Contacts list is that very few of them are using Google + right now. It's not open to the public as I write this, but I sent them all an Invite.
However, when you decide to Share something from your Google + home screen, whether a video, image, text, link or combination, you select which "Circles" you want to share this item with.
This is a big advantage of Google +, the ability to break out the people you know into Circles based on relationships, business connections or common interests. It allows you to share information much more exclusively, not boring some with items they simply don't care about. You can share an item to one or more Circles, assured that the only people who will see it are those who should find it of interest.
Well, the first thing I found when I went to share an item was that Google + tells me that some of the people in the groups I've chosen do not use Google + yet. And, I'm asked if I want to share the item with them via email. It's a choice, but I usually say yes. Why is this of interest to a real estate professional?
Now you can create custom Circles focused not only on family, friends, acquaintances, real estate agents, etc., you can send out mass emails through Google + that are focused on just the Circles who you know should get this item you're sharing.
- Seller Prospects
- Buyer Prospects
- Past Clients
- Local Agents
Those are just examples, and you'll find more groupings that apply to you. I think Google + will get really large in a hurry, but this email functionality will keep everyone in your Circles, even if they never use it.
