How to Set a System Clock in CentOS
- 1). Log into the system with a user account that has administrative rights. Right-click the time in the upper right corner of the screen. Authenticate by entering your password.
- 2). Change the date by clicking on the "Month," "Year" and "Day" sections on the left side of the window. Change the time by selecting the "Hour," "Minute" and "Second" on the right side of the window.

To use the computer's clock instead, click the "Use Local Time Source" check box in the Advanced Options.
- 4). Click the "Time Zone" tab to change the system time zone. Use the menu at the bottom of the window to select your time zone. Click "OK" after changing the settings as needed.
