How to Remove an HP ZE4910US Keyboard
- 1). Shut down the computer and disconnect the power cable and all the other peripheral devices that are connected to the system.
- 2). Close the display and turn the computer around so that the back is facing you.
- 3). Locate the screws on the laptop hinges. There should be two screws on each hinge. Extract the uppermost screws.
- 4). Turn the computer around and open the display.
- 5). Hold down the "F3" key and insert a flat-head screwdriver under the keyboard cover above the key to disengage the tab that secures the cover to the computer. Do this also for the "F8," "F11" and "Home" keys.
- 6). Lift the keyboard cover off the computer.
- 7). Extract the three screws at the top of the keyboard.
- 8). Flip the keyboard over the palmrest, and disconnect the large ribbon cable that runs from the keyboard to the motherboard.
- 9). Take the keyboard off the computer.
