    • 1). Cut five, 8-inch long sections of 3/8-inch diameter copper pipe. Cut longer or shorter pipes to alter the dimensions of your small wind chime.

    • 2). Drill a 1/8-inch diameter hole straight through each pipe, ¼-inch from one end. Make sure to use a drill bit designed for metal.

    • 3). Insert one small screw-eye hook into the center of a round treated wood board. The board should be at least ½-inch thick. You can use any type of wood that withstands the elements,l such as cedar, redwood or teak. Insert five screw-eye hooks around the perimeter of the board. Space the hooks evenly apart and 1 inch from the center hook.

    • 4). Cut five 8-inch strands of fishing line.Thread one 8-inch strand of fishing line through the drilled hole on one of the copper pipes. Pull the line through the pipe until the ends meet. Tie the ends of the line around one of the perimeter eye hooks. A double or triple overhand knot will work. Cover the knot with viscous craft glue. Repeat this step to hang each of the copper pipes.

    • 5). Cut one 14-inch strand of fishing line. Thread a size 11 crystal seed bead to the center of the line. Double the lines so the ends are even and the bead is in the middle. Thread a 10mm or smaller crystal prism over both lines and down to the seed bead. The seed bead acts as a stopper for the prism.

    • 6). Tie the ends of the fishing line over the eye hook in the center of the wood board. Insert another small eye hook in the center of the board on the opposite side to make a hanger for the wind chime. Cut a strand of fishing line and tie the ends through the eye hook to make the hanger.
