How to Repair a Kenmore Refrigerator's Handle
- 1). Turn the set screws, located on the side of the door handle nearest to the middle of the refrigerator, clockwise to tighten the handles. The set screws are located on the underside of the under-mount freezer door handle, if applicable to your model.
- 2). Turn the set screws counterclockwise to loosen the door handle. Once it is loose, lift the handle off the fasteners.
- 3). Tighten the fasteners located on the refrigerator door by turning the set screw on the inside of the fastener clockwise until tight.
- 4). Install a new door handle, or replace the old door handle if the fasteners required tightening, then secure the handle to the door using the set screws.
