May 2015 Events for Indianapolis
It's May and for Indianapolis, it's a big month. The month begins with Cinco de Mayo, is quickly followed by Mother's Day. And of course, there's plenty of Race activities. This year, May brings with it two huge race events - the Angie's List Grand Prix race and the Indianapolis 500. Check out all the events in-between!
Enjoy dinner and theater combined in this funny, murder mystery. It’s the taping of “Good Morning, Morning,” the TV show we all watch after the morning news. We are all here to see our favorite morning show hosts: Reggie Phillips and Carlee Roberts Hernandez-Garcia! Little do they know that they are about to become the news when murder disrupts the taping of the show. And to top that, it’s a triple murder. Tickets are $50-$60.

Engage the whole family in the excitement of the 500 Festival at the Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day—the state’s largest outdoor free festival for children. Headlining the event is Carly Rae Jepsen. Attendees can interact with local mascots, race mini cars, bounce in giant inflatables, get free kids haircuts by Great Clips, make sashes with the 500 Festival Princesses and so much more.This event takes place on Monument Circle and is is free!

Have you ever had a really rotten day? Alexander has! He wakes up with gum in his hair, he trips on a skateboard, and then he accidentally drops his sweater in the sink - all before breakfast! Alexander can already tell - it’s going to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day! Alexander’s day continues to go downhill at school when his teacher doesn’t like his drawing of an invisible castle, and Paul doesn’t want to be his friend anymore. The Broad Ripple Art Fair, the Art Center’s largest fundraiser, is Indy’s kickoff to the summer festival season! Now in its 45th year, the Broad Ripple Art Fair attracts over 22,000 visitors annually to the Broad Ripple Village cultural district and showcases more than 225 artists from the U.S. and Canada. The Art Fair features booths from local cultural organizations, a children’s creative area, gourmet food courts, a beer and wine garden and live entertainment on four stages and the Frank M. Basile Auditorium. Ticket for adults are $13; tickets for children are $3. Children under 3 are free.
