Community Center

• If you are planning on having a large party with a lot of children and their parents, a community center works very well. They are generally affordable, spacious and have a full-size working kitchen. There is plenty of room for kid's activities or for them to simply run and play. It is wise to make reservations well in advance of the party; some venues even require this.
  
  

Children's Museum

• Visit a children's museum to make certain it will be interesting and appropriately interactive for your child's age group. Children's museums generally offer birthday packages that feature party rooms for cake, ice cream and gift giving, and guided or unguided action tours through the venue. The kids usually enjoy themselves most by simply running around at their own high-octane pace. The museum is typically full of kid's on the go, so it is wise to have as much adult supervision as possible.
  
  

Zoo

• The zoo, especially on a pretty day, is an excellent children's party venue. It provides excitement, animals and a place to run --- all outside. Use the picnic tables or simply spread blankets on the grass and have cake, ice cream and the giving of gifts in an entertaining setting.

• Children generally enjoy playing miniature golf, and a party at a miniature golf course can be very exciting for them. The golf keeps them active yet organized as they play the game, and makes it easier on the parents to keep track of the group. Courses usually have party rooms available where kids can enjoy cake and ice cream while the birthday child opens gifts.
