As complexities increase in American society, the numbers of troubled youth are also on the rise.
Troubled Youth come from every component of society both social and economic.
Troubled youth transcend communal, racial and economic lines.
Parents find less time to spend with family and youth without parental supervision have greater access to drugs and alcohol, interaction with other troubled youth and adult media all of which adversely affect the life and outlook of the young adolescent.

In most American families, both parents need to work full time to make ends meet.
As the number of broken families increase, many adolescents live in single parent homes where one parent single handedly struggles to play the role of two parents.
Parents have lesser and lesser time for disciplining and helping their troubled adolescent children.

Modern children suffer from complex psychological issues like low self esteem, depression, ADD and ADHD.
In some cases the parents are unstable and the teen has no role model to emulate.
Alcohol and drugs are easily available and in a permissive society teen pregnancies are on the rise.
The consequences of problems in teens can be seen in the many newspaper reports of school shoot outs by young adolescent children, teen pregnancies, teen substance addicts and teen criminal offenders.
Behavioral disorders and eating disorders in young men and women are a direct result of psychological problems faced by them.
There are many ways of preventing adolescent trouble.
Parents should become role models for their troubled teens.
Parents should try to spend more time with their children.
Working from home in the electronic age could help young people have greater parental supervision.
Parental intervention in a non intimidating way to correct the behavior, the social interaction and the activities of their adolescent children will help prevent teen trouble in the future.
When things get out of hand, parents should seek professional help through the help of adolescent psychologists.
The school will have a psychologist who will help address the problems of the teenager.
    There is great potential in reforming the troubled youth of America.
The nation as a whole addresses the problem seriously.
Governments and religious groups organize programs to help troubled teenagers to lead a positive, responsible and well adjusted life.
America has the great convenience of being a free country and any abuses by programs and other establishments that aim to reform troubled adolescents are exposed by the media and other groups and the system is constantly reformed and regulated by legislation.

Reform methods are not only being developed constantly but re evaluated and improved.
Troubled youth in America have the good fortune of being able to turn for help at every step.
They are fortunate to live in a concerned nation and a helpful society.
The causes of their problems are addressed and every effort is made to give them a positive and stable future.
