Ultra Deep Meditation, a Simple How-To Guide

103 227
You have probably heard of meditation, and the very real benefits it can offer if practiced regularly; but what about ultra deep meditation? If you have already tried meditation and experienced its benefits, then you are probably keen to try meditating to a deeper level.
In this informative article, I will be explaining two different techniques for attaining a deeply meditative state.
One technique is mantra meditation, and the other technique involves using binaural beats.
Mantra meditation involves repeating a word or sound over and over again silently in your mind.
This keeps the mind busy with an extremely simple and repetitive task, allowing the rest of the mind to fully relax.
The mantra we are going to use is OM.
First, sit in a comfortable upright position in a quiet room away from bright lights.
Take a deep breath in, and then as you slowly breathe out say the word Ommmmm along with the out breath.
Continue to do this for a few minutes, making the breaths deep and slow.
After a few minutes, once you feel like you are very relaxed, let go of the deep breathing, and gently close your eyes.
Now, just relax, and allow your mind to naturally continue repeating the word Ommmm however feels most natural.
The trick here is to use the absolute minimum effort required to continue repeating the mantra.
It should feel almost completely effortless; and there is no correct way to repeat the mantra.
If the mantra repeats slowly, then just let the mind repeat it slowly.
If the mantra repeats fast, then just let the mind repeat the mantra fast.
Just allow it to almost automatically flow through your mind.
If at any point you find that your mind had wondered off from the mantra and into thoughts, then do not worry, this happens.
Just use the minimal amount of effort needed to gently guide the mind back to the mantra.
Also, if you find yourself in an extremely deeply relaxed state, then feel free to let go of the mantra and just rest in that state.
After about 10 to 20 minutes of mantra meditation, allow the mantra to fade away, and then spend a couple of minutes just relaxing with your eyes closed, and eventually slowly open your eyes again.
As an alternative (or in addition to) mantra meditation, you can also try using binaural beats.
This involves playing a slightly different frequency into each ear via headphones, and your brain notices the difference in frequency and matches its brainwave frequency to that frequency.
This can lead to very deep meditative states.
