How to Assemble a Pool Filter
- 1). Find a level spot near the pool to install your pump. A small square of concrete will usually work. Check the spot using a level to make sure it is as straight as possible. A leaning pool pump may make unnecessary noise and shorten its life.
- 2). Attach your pool skimmer to the pump with a pool hose. Tighten it on the pool pump using the connector available. Connect the pool hose to the outlet valve usually located at the bottom of the pump. Tighten the clamp down with a screwdriver.
- 3). Connect the filter to the pump hosing and sidewall jet according to the instructions that come with the filter. Connect a hose from the inlet valve to the left side of the pool filter using clamps.
- 4). Attach a hose from the pool return jet, found on the side of the pool, to the filter outlet. This pumps the water through the filter and back out into the pool. Connect the pieces with clamps.
- 5). Prime the filter according to your pump's instructions.
