Top Three Ways to Look for RV Rentals

103 22
RV, the mere mention of this term conjures up long road trips with our loved ones on a cross country trip.
RV refers to recreation vehicles, that is vehicles that are outfitted for recreation purposes and may contain a shower, bathroom and cooking utensils all fitted into a vehicle.
One of the most famous manufactures of RVs is Winnebago.
Most people who are planning their first road trip often start with renting one as a start.
There are many who love the experience so much that they ended up buying the vehicle from the company they leased it from at the end of the road trip.
So how does one begin their search for RV vehicles that are available for lease? In this day and age, it is relatively easy to find a company that leases such cars.
Here are top 3 ways to look for one.
Search Online The search engines was certainly the first place I went to search for places that have these type of vehicles for rental.
When you are searching online, you can also find out more about the different types of cars that are available from the mini RV that is fitted with a dining table that converts into bed at night to a full-sized one that can house a dining area, small kitchen, and bathroom and shower facilities.
The type of vehicle that you want to rent will depend on the length of your trip; the requirements whether you want a compact one that you can easily navigate or a full-sized one that allows you to even bring your living room onboard.
However, whichever the type of vehicle you choose, it is important to plan first as some places do not allow big RVs to be parked near the city locations.
This may pose a problem if you want to explore certain parts of the city.
You can also search for online yellow pages to locate such companies.
Call up campgrounds Another innovative way to look for RV rentals is to call up the campgrounds directly.
They may have contacts for companies that lease such vehicles or know of people who may want to sell the vehicle after the trip.
Most RV parks and campgrounds have advertising agreements with local rental companies too.
Ask for referrals or search the local classified ads in the newspapers.
If you know of friends who have made such a trip before, you can ask them for referrals.
Another approach is to scan your local classified ads especially the travel supplement.
You may be able to find affordable vehicles for your road trip.
As highlighted, these are some of the top 3 ways to locate a recreation vehicle for your holiday needs.
A word of caution though, not all rental companies are the same.
Some charge for ancillaries while others will provide you with a package fee.
There are some who will go to the extent to 'nickel-and-dime' you by charging for fees at the end of your trip.
Be sure to ask what is included in your rental fee.
Happy RV-ing.
