How to Fix or Replace a Revere Tea Kettle Whistle
- 1). Run a pipe cleaner through the tea kettle whistle to dislodge any debris that may be obstructing the clear path of steam and thus the audible whistle.
- 2). Combine water and vinegar, in equal proportions, in the tea kettle. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes to remove lime and mineral buildup, which could be interfering with the whistle. Rinse.
- 3). Check your warranty information. Revere offers a one year limited warranty on its tea kettles. If your kettle applies you can contact the company customer service department to have the kettle replaced.
- 4). Check flea markets, yard sales, vintage stores and auction sites to find a replacement kettle whistle or entire tea kettle if your warranty does not apply.
