- The Maxima, considered to be the flagship of Nissan's sedan offerings, was first produced in 1981. According to MSN Autos, the Nissan refers to the Maxima as a "four-door sports car." The 2011 model comes in two trims, the S and the SV. The S has a manufacturers suggested retail price of $30,810, while the SV has a MSRP of $33,530.
- The 2011 Nissan Maxima utilizes a 3.5 L V-6 engine. This engine generates 290 horsepower, 261 ft-lbs. of torque, four valves per cylinder, a dual overhead cam, 3.76 inches of bore and 3.20 inches of stroke, along with a compression ratio of 10.6 to one. The Maxima also comes with a continuously variable transmission.
- The Maxima's fuel tank holds 20 gallons of gasoline. It gets 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
